Training Yoga Teachers in Seattle since 2002.

“Excellent studio and training in every way! An inclusive and welcoming collective of seasoned teachers that practice what they preach. They do their own deep work and set an excellent example of what abhyasa and vairagya (effort and non-attachment) look like in practice. Inclusion extends to many different things at 8 Limbs – the rich diversity of styles and influences under one roof; the accessibility of learning for all backgrounds, experiences, abilities and ages. I can safely say that, if you do the work, you will leave not just as a yoga teacher but a better human.”

Important Information pertaining to all 8 Limbs Teacher Training Certification Programs.

The 8 Limbs 200-hour Grounded Wisdom Teacher Training offers the aspiring or continuing yoga teacher or serious student a sound foundation in the principals of yoga theory and practice within the supportive container of the training staff and fellow participants, a community that deepens with each day of training.

We bridge the ancient wisdom of yoga asana with a modern and thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology and are guided by the eight limbs of yoga, as prescribed by the sage Patanjali in The Yoga Sutra. Our curriculum provides Teacher Training participants with the basic tools to begin leading groups of all levels, and continue on the path of yoga and self-inquiry with grace and humble confidence.

This Yoga Alliance approved course, which qualifies participants for certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance is now offered in two formats:

200 Hour Teacher Trainings

200 Hour Grounded Wisdom

Eight weekends between October and May at 8 Limbs studios.

The Grounded Wisdom curriculum allows participants to space out their training over the course of eight months, with trainings hours Wednesday evenings and one weekend a month.
