Teacher Name: Jenny Hayo, ERYT-500
Practicing Yoga Since: 1996
Jonna Bracken dragged me to my first yoga class at 8 Limbs when it had just opened back in 1996. We took an Ashtanga class and I was hooked. Melina Meza quickly became one of my favorite teachers.
Teaching Yoga Since: 1999
I took my first teacher training in 1999 at Samadhi Yoga Centers with Kathleen Hunt. I began teaching at 8 Limbs and Samadhi upon graduation, eventually choosing to just teach at 8 Limbs. Over the years I have completed teacher trainings with Sarah Powers and Tias Little. Most of my trainings today continue in body-centered modalities including Somatic Experience (SE) and Hakomi Therapy.
Where do you teach? Weekly classes at 8 Limbs as well as their 200 & 500 hour teacher training programs. Throughout the year I teach 6-week series classes for meditation, pranayama, sūtra study and have I have just added yoga for stress reduction. Twice a year I teach week long silent and meditation retreats here in the Pacific Northwest.
