Jodi Boone
Yoga is a precious gift in my life in countless ways. It has expanded my mind and heart. Yoga has been a refuge during difficult times. As a student, I have studied and practiced with many wise and dedicated teachers who have deeply influenced my life. Yoga inspired me to travel the world to seek teachers and teachings and explore different cultures and traditions. Through yoga I have met my dearest friends. Yoga led me to India to where I lived for many years and began studying the profound science of Ayurveda. Yoga has helped me to heal. I have such deep gratitude and reverence for the traditional teachings of yoga, which is why I love sharing it with others. With each class I teach, my intention is to create a meditative, grounding, and nurturing environment to move, breathe, feel, and heal.
What to expect in Jodi Boone’s classes: No matter the style, Jodi likes to offer a meditative, well-rounded class where you move and breathe in a way that brings energy to every part of your body. It’s wonderful to complete a yoga class feeling like you’ve just had a massage (releasing mental and physical tensions in the same way that massage does). She also likes to infuse wisdom and beauty from different spiritual traditions, yoga philosophy, and poets into her classes to nourish the heart and spirit.
Main Influences/Styles/Traditions: Jodi’s main influence is Ananda yoga, a style of hatha yoga based on the teachings Paramahansa Yogananada.
