8 Limbs Yoga Centers 300 Hour Specialized Teacher Training
Training yoga teachers in Seattle since 2002!
Our program provides the 300 additional hours of training for 200hr RYTs to move to this next level of professional development and will set you on course to develop your niche and voice as a specialist in the field of modern yoga.
We believe that a 300hr program should be different from your 200hr training in that it helps you specialize in one area, much like earning a Major in college. Our goal is to provide a program and community to help you prosper – in your practice, in your studies, and in your career as a yoga teacher.
HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS
Our 300 Hour Specialized Teacher Training program offers four choices (“tracks”) of specialization to choose from:
This training will provide the structure to create a three-year curriculum that includes in person and livestream classes with experts in each Major Track.
These tracks will guide you on your journey towards 500hr certification, with each one composed of mandatory and suggested learning modules that are either 10 hours (half module) or 20 hours (full module) of class time. Participate in these modules, led by a unique blend of guest/visiting teachers and 8 Limbs senior teachers, at your own pace as budget and schedule permits. Not only will you receive instruction from senior 8 Limbs staff (each with at least 10 years of teaching experience), you will also have the chance to study with national and internationally renowned teachers.
You will have three years to complete your 300 hours or re-enroll if you need more time. In addition to our modules, you’ll have homework assignments to help you grow your business, create new workshops, programs, retreats, or community projects.
In your second year of the program, you will be assigned a Mentor to help you design and complete your final project that you share on your graduation weekend.
To graduate, students must complete a total of 180 hours in mandatory modules in their chosen track and 120 hours in other modules for a total of 300 hours within three years or longer if needed.
Upon graduation, teachers will receive a certificate of completion that notes their specialization / area of expertise. This certificate can be used to apply for 500hr RYT status through Yoga Alliance.
Note: All active 300 hour Training Enrollees automatically receive a 20% discount on 8 Limbs drop-in classes, passes, and memberships.
