This workshop will provide students in “The Forest Dweller Years” – the 3rd Ashram of life in yogic teachings – with help in shifting to this gentler time of life, and the challenges that sometimes come along with the aging process.
Expect some community discussion and lecture about ways in which yogic teachings can support us in issues of aging, plus gentle asana, meditation and pranayama practices, along with writing prompts for deeper contemplation.
Yoga offers an opening to awakening to our true selves and a clarity of purpose in achieving and maintaining physical, mental and spiritual strength. Yoga teaches that we are already perfect and whole, that there is nothing to fix, and these workshops offer opportunities to open to that truth. This workshop is suitable for all levels, from those new to yoga, to the experienced practitioner. Please bring a mat and, if you like, a pen and journal.
