Deeply Unwind with Yoga Nidra and Crystal Singing Bowls

Join us for an evening of relaxation. This unique event is perfect for anyone looking for an opportunity to relax and unwind.
Curious about what to expect? The evening will open with a short introduction to the crystal bowls. You’ll then be guided through some small, reclining movements to help the body begin to unwind. Students will then be invited into a supported savasana (a reclining position with the support of yoga props), during which Megan will guide you through a Yoga Nidra practice, a guided meditation designed to help the nervous system relax and the body move toward a state of deeper rest. Students will be left in deep relaxation while Megan plays crystal singing bowls.
This practice uses the power of sound and vibration to help the body and nervous system relax, much like a massage might do, and students often report that following a sound bath they feel clearer, calmer and sometimes report decreases in physical body pain and often a better night’s sleep. The evening will close with a silent meditation to help bring balance to the system after the experience of so much sound and also allow time for personal reflection and exploration.

Space is limited. Please dress comfortably, yoga clothing is not required. Bring your yoga mat or a blanket to rest on. You may also wish to bring your own eye pillow if you have one.

Megan Sloan began her study of sound over 15 years ago, soon after beginning her private sound healing practice. As a yoga teacher, she was always trying to bring the power of sound into the studio to offer its healing aspects to her students. Back in 2010, she began offering sound baths to bring the relaxing and rejuvenating aspects of sound to groups of people at the yoga studios she taught at. She has since gone on to do sound baths at studios, yoga conferences and on private retreats. She loves being present when people experience the sound of crystal bowls for the very first time.
