Are you are starting to think winter is never ending and summer too far away? Are you longing for a vacation, a break from the winter routine? Join me for Yoga Nidra, Yoga Bliss, a 2 hour stay-cation workshop in the always sunny studio of 8 Limbs West Seattle. You will be amazed at how much better you feel after just 2 hours!
This workshop is a tasty blend of self-massage, aromatherapy and Yoga Nidra (Yogic sleep) designed to relieve stress and fatigue in the body and the mind. Self-massage soothes the body and aromatherapy and Nidra calm the busy-ness of the mind. This holistic approach is a powerful way to nurture your whole Self during these dark days of winter.
When we melt stress the body functions much more efficiently and the immune system gets a much needed boost. When we relax the mind, our moods brighten, vitality and vibrant health are restored, and we have more energy to do the things we want to do!
Another very important aspect of Yoga Nidra is the combination of relaxation with Sankalpa. A Sankalpa is a positive statement or intention that we create as we enter into the practice, and that we reaffirm at the end. It is the Sankalpa that invites us to transform our lives, our very beings, as we look inside and ask ourselves the question “what does my heart desire?” This is such an important question to ask, and to ask often. Yoga Nidra supports us in attaining our goals by planting the seeds of our intention deep into the subconscious when we are truly relaxed.
I hope that you will join me in this special Winter edition of Yoga Nidra Yoga Bliss. No previous experience is necessary – bring a friend. Wear comfortable clothes (think pajamas) with warm layers and leave the belts and bras behind. We have a limited amount of blankets, mats, and eye pillows available at the studio. If you have your own, bring them! Many of the Yoga Nidra Regulars bring their own pillows as well.
Looking forward to seeing you!
