Ashley Dahl
Ashley is a champion of compassionate self-awareness and has the keen ability to help people apply yogic philosophy off the mat (or cushion) and into daily life. She brings a sense of calm thoughtfulness, sprinkled with dashes of humor, to her classes. In blending the teachings of established wisdom traditions and evidence-based research with modern culture, she helps students personally explore and deepen everyday mindfulness. Ashley earned her Masters in Social Work. She studies in the vipassana (insight) meditation tradition and is trained in mindfulness through the Mindfulness Training Institute. Some of her primary teachers include Dr. Donald Rothberg, Sharon Salzberg, Dr. Kristin Neff, Mark Coleman and Martin Aylward. With a strong background in community engagement, Ashley has been teaching for over 20 years. As 8 Limbs’ Executive Director she’s been infusing mindfulness teachings behind-the-scenes for a decade and began to extend this to students in 2014. She also offers mindfulness-based coaching and teachings to small businesses and creative entrepreneurs.
