Last month I wrote about how the concept of heat shows up in yoga philosophy. This month, let’s balance that with a little FUN! It’s summer in Seattle, for Pete’s sake, time to let it hang out! We have a few ideas for you, of course…
FREE YOGA AT THE SCULPTURE PARK
Once again 8 Limbs was chosen by Seattle Art Museum to partner for Summer at SAM in July and August. See below for more details and July instructors.
To me, taking a yoga workshop is actually one of my sources of fun! Join Senior Iyengar teacher Aadil Palkhivala to learn to unwind your wrists, to “Sweat and Glow” and to learn about the eight limbs of yoga.
FARMER’S MARKET + YOGA = FUN
Visit a new neighborhood to take a terrific yoga class and visit the local Farmer’s Market:
Capitol Hill: Take the 9am Level I with Adi or the 10:30 Devotional Flow with Nancy and then head over to Seattle Central College for your cherries and arugula, 11am-3pm
Phinney RIdge: Flow with Maritza at 4:45pm or mellow out in Yin with Misha at 6:15pm (no 6:15pm on July 5) and hit the Phinney Neighborhood Center for dinner and groceries, 3:30-7:30pm.
Wedgwood: 9am Level II and 10:45am Level I with Megan are your choices before heading to the University Heights Building, 9am-2pm.
West Seattle: You have Terilyn’s famous 9am Devotional Flow and Yoga Tune-Up with Tracy at 10:45 (no 10:45pm on July 7) to choose from (or don’t choose, do both!), then hit California Ave for one of the best Farmer’s Markets of the week, 10am-2pm.
