Teacher Name: Megan Costello
Where do you teach: 8 Limbs Capitol Hill and Phinney Ridge, and starting in the summer, 8 Limbs Wedgwood to offer a Chakra-Focused practice on Wednesdays at 5:45pm.
Hobbies/interests: I have a recent obsession with all things pickled, canned and fermented. I’ve been making my own jams, pickles, saurkraut and have recently started making kombucha. It’s all so interesting and fun! My partner and I also spend a lot of time in the garden on the weekends growing even more fruits and vegetables for me to pickle, jam and can.
One secret that helps you to stay healthy is: I use a neti pot every day. Religiously. It makes such a huge difference in fighting colds in winter and allergies in the spring.
Currently inspired by: I have recently fallen back in love with pranayama. As an energy worker, I am always interested in ways to access and work with energy in the body. I’ve really begun reframing my breath practice as a way to access the flow of prana in the body. It sounds so simple, but is it has been revolutionary in my understanding and interest in pranayama.
